Team Update
One Body of Hope 2009
And it begins again -- how exciting is that?! The first planning committee meeting was held on October 15 at the Derry Public Library, and the next two will be held on the third Wednesdays of November and December, respectively. If anyone wants to join me, please feel free. I'd love to see your beautiful, smiling faces around the planning table.
Well, I have my first craft fair under my belt! I had a table at the Holy Cross Craft Fair on Saturday, October 18, and you'll never guess how much I raised, so I'll go ahead and tell you -- $236.00! How awesome is that?! My next craft fair will be at St. Anthony's School Craft Fair on Saturday, November 22. If anyone wants to come and hang out with me for an hour or two, I'd welcome the company. I'll also share the fundraising dollars! Let me know if you are interested.
Do you want to be a part of team again next year? Do you have a fun idea for the team, a creative idea for a theme lap costume or a brilliant idea for fundraising? Don't keep it to yourself -- let me know! We had a GREAT Relay in 200,8 and I expect it to be an even better Relay in 2009. How can it be otherwise with such a fantastic group and dynamic parish? I look forward to having fun with you all during the planning stage and at Relay next June. Please check back regularly for updates. In the meantime, if you have an idea for team fundraising or anything else to make the 2009 Relay successful, please let me know!
